Zweck is more than a fashion label — it’s a movement dedicated to empowering modern women through purposeful design.

Founded by former obstetrician Klara Forrest, Zweck was born from a deep understanding of the daily demands professional women face. From early mornings to late meetings, from boardrooms to boarding gates — looking elegant, feeling comfortable, and travelling light shouldn’t be a compromise.

Driven by the belief that beauty is comfort, Klara’s designs challenge the old fashion adage that “beauty is pain.” Instead, Zweck champions style, versatility, and practicality — without ever sacrificing sophistication.

The word “Zweck”, meaning purpose in German, perfectly reflects our philosophy — everything we create serves a meaningful role. Whether it’s a structured headpiece, a tailored suit with interchangeable features, or a bag that changes face without losing its contents, Zweck transforms everyday dressing into an experience of empowerment.

Each piece is handmade in small batches — many as one-of-a-kind or limited editions — combining thoughtful functionality with timeless elegance. And every design has a story to tell: from the hands that make it to the lives it touches.

Giving Back

 Zweck began its philanthropic journey in 2018, raising funds for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation through our annual fashion galas. Over the years, these events have contributed over $200,000 to support children’s health and wellbeing.

In 2025, while our runway shows are paused, our commitment remains unwavering. We now continue our giving by donating 5% of annual online sales directly to the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation — an organisation close to our founder’s heart for its vital role in caring for children and supporting families through their most vulnerable moments.

We also honour the women behind our products — supporting fair trade and contributing to the betterment of their lives. When you wear Zweck, you wear a piece of something bigger.
